Wow. How the summer has flown by. May & June were very crazy months followed by a relatively peaceful August. We didn't get away on the weekends as much as we would have liked, but I suppose that will continue to be the case until we purchase a car.

I have been at my new job for a month and some change and find it to be enjoyable, if not a bit less challenging than things I have done in the past. I am balancing this with freelance work which keeps me "challenged" well into the night and as a result I have given up most extracurricular activities such as seeing friends and working out. The upside of all this is that I have quit smoking. The downside is I am getting too fat to hide the fact that I am putting on weight. I am becoming a regimented individual. wake at 6, walk the dog. Leave the house by 6:20, work out until 7:30. Shower, eat, get on rain by 8:45. Get to work by 9:30. Leave at 6/6:30. Go home. Walk dog. Do freelance until 11. Kiss wife goodnight. Go to bed. Rinse wash repeat.

We are going on a trip for our second anniversary in a week. I can't say much about it here because it is a suprise... more on that later.
